“WHAT DO YOU SEA?” 2019
-The Seagull 2019
Recycled silver and copper wire 120x120cm
Recycled copper wire, 80x65cm

It is the seagull who actually cleans the ocean the most. The seagull thinks the plastic trash is food and collects it to feed itself or its nestling. Because a great amount of our trash ends up in the ocean, these bird are dying. The work is called: “What do you sea?” It is Dabin’s version of an awareness sign which has been tufted as a carpet. It shows an image of a mutated, four-legged seagull stuffed with all of our daily plastic waste. The fuzzy, humorous and colourful sign becomes more disturbing and confronting the longer you look at it
